As this is an application, the City Council and myself (as a potential tie breaking vote) are not able to comment on the project outside of the public hearing. Mr. Mayor, As a "hail mary" attempt at getting extra eyes on a topic that I feel is being grossly underplayed and highly unconscionable I wanted to send off some information to you in hopes that more discussion within the City of Meridian leadership team and all those involved review what is being proposed. TopGolf, along with apartments, restaurants, office buildings and what not, are coming as you know to the former "corn maze" area off Eagle/Overland. We live in an established, 60+ year old agricultural neighborhood that has seen half the neighborhood bought out and prepped for development. That's fine. We get it, change "must" happen. However, what's being proposed is that our neighborhood street, that probably sees an average of 10 unique vehicles a day on it, along with the Silverstone accessway, will be entry and exit points to all of this. Liquor licensed establishments that can operate until 2AM, along with all the other absurdity surrounding an exponentially massive increase in traffic, is going to be allowed to pass at all times through a residential neighborhood. Does that make sense and/or align with Idaho values and the safety standards of Meridian? I've been racking my brain to find where examples of this even exist, anywhere, in Meridian, let alone the county or even Idaho? Is that the vision Meridian leadership has for its residents? I believe the city and the developers it partners with possess the capability to find an alternative solution that doesn't involve putting its citizens at risk or railroading a neighborhood for yet another entertainment and apartment complex, and I hope that you can see that too. We have all sent in our comments and will continue to voice our opinion on the 1 matter but hope that someone within city leadership steps up to the plate to recognize what any reasonable person would recognize as out of touch. Thank you for your time. Mike Blowers 1325 Rolling Hill Drive Meridian, ID 83642 2
