Chandler Office Building, Narrative
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing this letter to request that the landscape islands in the parking lot of the Chandler
Office Building, located at 650 W. Franklin, be modified to being required at the end of the
parking rows only.
We are requesting the landscape island count to be reduced as part of the Municipal Building
Code 11-5B-5 Alternative Compliance.
Rather than putting a landscape island after every 12th parking stall, we are proposing to have
islands only at the end of the parking rows and then applying the additional plants to the
landscaped area between Franklin Road and the parking lot. We would maintain the same
number of trees, plants and landscaping as code originally requires, but would locate them in
the front landscape buffer of the property.
