Hello again, Thank you for the timely response! I want to be clear so there is no confusion: My immediate family is still in the process of moving to Idaho. My in-laws purchased the home on W Bacall Street in Meridian and moved in a few days ago. I am in the process of getting an out- of-state remote work application finalized by my employer. Once it is finalized, my wife and I will purchase the home from my in-laws and they will purchase another home in the area. I am providing this background information to ensure I am being completely transparent. If this means my input is currently not considered by the Mayor and City Council, I completely understand and respect that decision. Thanks, again, for your time. Eagle Rd. My family is new to the state, moving as part of the mass exodus from California. There are so, so many reasons to love Meridian. It's a wonderful, close-knit community and it's an incredible place to raise a family. With all that in mind, I ask you to PLEASE disallow a nightclub from being established within the city. No matter how nice the establishment, no matter the promised donations to local nonprofits, it is a business that will indelibly change the character of the community. It will bring a different clientele and there will be downstream collateral consequences for this community. Surely there are other communities better suited to a nightclub and the demographic it seeks to attract. Thanks in advance for your time and attention. And thank you for putting Meridian residents' best interests first.
