A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
MERIDIAN
PLAN
TO AMEND THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP OF THE 2002 COMPREHENSIVE
FOR THE RIVER PLANNING AREA, MERIDIAN, IDAHO TO EXPAND FU
USE DESIGNATIONS; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have the authority pursuant to Idaho Code § 50-3
establish resolutions not inconsistent with the laws of the state of Idaho as ma be ex 02 to
addition to the special powers therein y pedient, in
granted, to maintain the peace, good government and welfare
of the corporation and its trade, commerce and industry; and
WHEREAS, the City of Meridian Comprehensive Plan was adopted in August in 20
resolution 02-382; and 02 as
WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have deemed it appropriate to amend the future
use map of the 2002 Comprehensive Plan for the River Planning Area, Meridian, Idaho to ex land
future land use designations; and land
WHEREAS, the Mayor and City Council have provided all the requisite notices h
necessary hearings, and received the required information necessary to make a final decisio the
required by the Idaho Local Land Use Planning Act to amend the adopted comprehensiv n as
e plan.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY C
THE CITY OF MERIDIAN, IDAHO AS FOLLOWS: OUNCIL OF
SECTION 1. Pursuant to Idaho Code §67-6509, the Mayor and City Council hereby
