I strongly oppose the rezoning of my neighborhood for construction of high-density (multi-family) housing at
the northwest corner of Victory and Locust Grove Roads in Meridian.
In October 2020, we moved from Henderson, NV because increased traffic and congestion destroyed peace
and safety in our previous community. We were so happy to find the Tuscany community and love the
somewhat pastoral character of the surrounding areas--south of Interstate 84 between Eagle and Locust
Grove. Unfortunately, we have since realized that traffic on Locust Grove, Victory, Overland and Meridian
Roads is already heavy throughout the day, especially during "rush hour." Construction of
apartments/townhomes anywhere in this area with resulting population and traffic increases will compound
an already existing problem.
If construction of high-density housing is approved, please do not allow construction until Locust Grove and
Victory Roads are widened and improved.
