Thank you, Delaine McLafferty 208-870-7538 3280 S Como Ave Meridian, ID 83642 kdskandles@msn.com 1 5-24-21 To Whom It May Concern: My name is Delaine McLafferty, I’m on the board of the Tradewinds Subdivision located on the SE corner of Locust Grove and Victory Rds. I’m writing this letter to contest the R-15 rezoning of the land on the SW corner of Locust Grove and Victory Rd known as Compass Pointe Subdivision H-2020-0100. With the houses being built to the south of us on Lake Hazel Rd, the houses going in at the end of Fathom St in Tradewinds and the 58 townhouses that are going in on the NW corner of Locust Grove and Victory Rd the traffic is going to be horrific moving north and south on Locust Grove. Adding in another subdivision of multi-family homes with the only entrance and exit onto Locust Grove would just add more traffic all trying to move onto Locust Grove at one time. With the addition of a round-a-bout at the corner of Locust Grove and Victory Rd, the traffic will not be stopping at a light to be able to let cars turn left out of Compass Pointe during rush hour traffic making it almost impossible to get out. The roads in this area are not equipped to be able to able to handle this extra traffic. The better use of the land would be single-family homes with common areas and 2 exits out of the subdivision. Making the traffic in 4 subdivisions located on 3 corners of Locust Grove and Victory Rd all exit onto Locust Grove moving in a north and south direction will cause a bottle neck of traffic with a greater chance of accidents happening because you won’t be able to make a left-hand turn without taking chances. Thank you, Delaine McLafferty
