Dear Councilmembers,
I am writing this email today to voice my concerns and opposition to the Rezoning of the land at Victory
and Locust Grove Roads here in Meridian. I live in the Sageland Subdivision and if you are familiar with
this subdivision it is very small with two entrances/exits very close to the intersection of Victory & Locust
Grove. In the last few years the traffic has become almost unbearable and most aggravating when
trying to enter onto Locust Grove or Victory. I wait somedays for 5-10 minutes to find a break in the
traffic in order to enter into the stream of cars. EVERY DAY. It doesn’t matter if I leave my house at 7
am or 8 am the traffic is congested. When the round-a-bout goes in I anticipate this becoming worse.
Please visit this area and look at the subdivisions that are near this intersection. Don’t just drive by on a
Sunday – pick a normal day during morning, afternoon and evening traffic. Adding more high density
housing to this area is a disatorous idea.
Thank you,
Marielle Schantz
