However, this area is zoned "Industrial," so we are applying for a Conditional Use Permit. Most of the building is already occupied by the Meridian YMCA, who also had to obtain a Conditional Use Permit. We would occupy 7200 square feet on the South end of the building. The project would necessitate us building into the existing structure (walls, plumbing, and electrical for sanctuary, classrooms, offices, small kitchen and restrooms). A basic floor plan is included for your review. There are a few changes we will make as per our initial meeting with the Fire Department. The YMCA and the Yanke family have given their approval for us to move forward on this project and, after talking with them, we believe that our hours of operation would be compatible. Our primary hours would be Sunday mornings until noon, while the "Y" opens at noon, so we could share parking spaces without a problem. We have enclosed a detailed Site Plan and Landscape Plan for your review. We believe that a move to a larger facility would enable us to have a greater impact for good in the city of Meridian and the life of our community. Thank you for your consideration of this project.
