Hello,
I have been following this development and the approval process. However I am a little confused if this is still open for
public comments or what step in the process they are currently in. Could you provide me some insight. Also if it isn’t too
late to sign up to speak for tomorrow’s hearing. My backyard faces where the proposed 3 story apartments will be.
Thank you in advance for your help,
Marissa

I oppose the development planned for:
Pine Street and west of Ten Mile Road (H-2020-0113)
Name: Foxcroft Subdivision AZ, CUP, PP
I feel the placement of the high density living, 3-story apartment complex disrupts all the existing homes
in the just north community, Mosher Farm. All residents on Acarrera and Britt Pl.
1. DECREASE in home values, huge obstruction and decrease privacy of current residents.
a. All homes on the south side of Acarrera have backyards that face where the proposed 3
story apartments will be. This will significantly decrease home values, decrease privacy.
b. If the apartments went on the north west corner of the parcel, they would be facing the
public park and elementary school. Also giving a better view for the apartment
residents. Furthermore, not peering into existing single-family homes backyards and
windows. I understand this is the section is zoned for higher density, I don’t see why the
cannot be moved to the West. There are far less obstructions and effected parties.
2. Increasing foot traffic walking to the elementary school.
a. The residents of these apartments who attend Chaparral Elementary will walk through
out street to get to the back of the school. We have had a problem with kids from the
apartment complex on the north east corner of Ten Mile and Pine walking through our
street to get to school and damaging property (mailboxes, trash, and kicking over trash
cans).
3. Increase noise due to high density living and apartment renters.
a. Apartments attract noisy residents and late-night calls to the police department for
noise complaints. All residents at Mosher Farms are used to a quiet neighborhood, if
there is a lot of noise there will be many complaints filed with the police department. In
this time, we do not need to overwhelm the police with calls like this.
4. I also oppose opening Pine Street up.
a. There is always heavy congestion on Black Cat and Pine. Lots of kids at play and
increasing traffic with 216 apartments and 73 single family homes will cause huge
problems and accidents.
Overall, I think building high density 3 story apartments are not needed in this location. This will greatly
decrease our homes value.
I vote NO.
