In a meeting today with Anna Canning it was discovered that the camp plan may be missing several future school
site locations. The area in question is Chinden to the north, Ustick to the south Can-Ada to the west and
McDermott to the east. It would be best if each section included provisions for an elementary school. This based
on our beliefthat approximately 1800 homes fill an elementary school. We have believed this area would develop
at a lower density; this appears not to be the case. In addition we need to identify a middle school and a high
school in the vicinity of Star Road south ofChinden. The secondary schools would serve these 4 square miles
and provide school access to the Star City area north of Chinden. As always our sitings are based upon housing
density, as this goes up so does our need for school sites. I appreciate you passing our concerns on to the
commission and council as necessary. Should you have any questions please give me a call.
