I have recently heard that there is a proposal to rezone the area of Locust Grove and Victory for higher density
housing. I live in the Sherbrookes Hollow subdivision and use Locust Grove between Victory and Overland six to seven
days a week. I have seen traffic backed up from Overland to Amity five days a week. I often see cars passing on the
right hand side of cars trying to make a left hand turn. The traffic going to Mountain View High School adds to the traffic
in the morning. Putting in high density housing will only make the matter worse and possible more dangerous to travel
Locust Grove. The roads in the area would have to be widened equivalent to Eagle from Overland to at least Amity to
handle any more housing let along high density housing. I strongly urge that any proposal for rezoning for high density
housing in this area be turned down.
Sincerely,
Michael W, Whitten
