Dear Mayor and Council Members:
The purpose of this email is to urge a "no" vote on rezoning this area for high density housing. We are retirees who
moved from a large, crowded city to escape the problems and conditions caused by people living on top of one another.
Constructing high density housing would change Meridian from a city that incorporates thoughtfully -planned
communities with the openness and natural beauty of the surrounding fields to a city plagued by increased traffic,
increased use of natural resources, and crime that always seem to follow. Property values would decrease as buyers
would look elsewhere to maximize their investment. As we do not oppose developments of single-family
neighborhoods, we strongly oppose the development of high -density housing units. Thank you for your time.
Respectfully,
Bob & Wendy Baker

Bob and Wendy,
Thank you for your email. I know each person appreciates the information and perspective you have provided. As this is
an open application, the City Council and myself (as a potential tie breaking vote) are not able to comment on the
project outside of the public hearing. I am copying our City Clerk so your email and this response can be included into
the record.
Respectfully,
Mayor Robert Simison
City of Meridian
