I am writing in response to the Notice of Application submitted by Leticia D. Peralta for
an Accessory Use Pennit for the operation ofa Family Child Care out of her home. Our home is
situated on E. Addeson Street directly behind the Peralta home. Our floor plan is similar to theirs
as our back patios are facing one another. You will note that the lot sizes in Bedford Place
subdivision are approximately 65 feet wide by 100 feet deep. The homes are located in relatively
close proximity to one another.
I object to the approval of this application on the following grounds: I am a parent of
two home schooled children. The designated "classroom" in our home is located at the back of
our house, opens onto our back patio, and is directly opposite the Peralta's back patio. The floor
plan submitted with the Peralta application designates the back patio as the "play and activity
area" . Our neighborhood, as it stands at this time, is a very quiet environment during the week
days. I am concerned that five small children playing outside the Peralta home on week day
mornings would disrupt our quiet, learning environment. Furthermore, we, as a family, relish the
quietness of this neighborhood and would be very disappointed to lose that quality on a consistent
basis such as a daycare in close proximity to our home.
u- - , - -- Again, I would-_object-to_.thisperroit foLa- daycare in my- neighborhood. Should you have
any further questions, or require additional infonnation, please do not hesitate to contact me at
884-2612.
Sincerely,
~ß~
