We strongly oppose the rezoning on Victory and Locust Grove. The traffic is already bad and it will only get exponentially
worse. Further traffic would make this road even more dangerous (we have witnessed several car accidents and near
misses) and cause massive delays during peak traffic times. We understand growth is necessary but rezoning this area
will increase the already congested roadway. When it already takes 25 mins to go from Overland to Amity, adding high
density housing would increase that traffic significantly, and increase that travel time 10 fold. Infrastructure first, paid
for by the developer, and then growth, but the growth needs to be in favor of the area and not make it a nightmare for
the current home owners in the area. Overcrowding of the already stressed schools in the area also needs to be
addressed before more housing goes in, especially high density housing. Our current students and residents should not
have to sacrifice their enjoyment, community, learning and educational environment for development of high density
housing. Please listen to the voices of the residents of the area.
Thank you,
Warren and Susan Winters
