Ms. Raines,
In addition to Ms. Way’s response, I wanted to respond to let you know that a representative from Ada County Highway
District attends most City Council meetings. Typically, they attend via Zoom (our hybrid meeting platform) and are able
to address Council if the Mayor or a councilmember has a question for them. Based on this application, they will likely
ask her to speak. Every application received by the city is sent to partner agencies, including West Ada School District
and Ada County Highway District. If they respond, and in most cases they do, they are placed in the folder labeled
“Agency Comments” within the project folder at the link Ms. Way provided.
I am happy to answer any questions about the application and hearing process. Have a great day.

Good Afternoon All,
As a resident of the Meridian Community I share the concern like most when I say the local roads are not keeping up
with the growth of residential housing. We all see it as we sit in gridlock and ironically the Meridian Idaho video on
youtube dated April 3, 2018 states one of the many great things about Meridian is the accessibility and the fact "you
aren't likely to find traffic jams" well as we all know, that have been out during school times or commute hours that
statement couldn't be farther from the truth. Its gridlock and sadly there is no way to change what currently exists
because of the current housing.

But what you all have and are responsible for is how we move forward with the continued growth in our
Community. The future of our community rests in the laps of you all who make the decisions for all of us who love and
reside in our beloved Meridian! I love our community but sadly the roads are not keeping up with the growth. You all
have the unique responsibility to make decisions that affect all of us our quality of life and safety, unfortunately if
emergency services need to get anywhere quickly during busy hours it simply is not possible and is only getting worse as
more homes get built and roads aren't addressed.
I don't know if Ada roads, school districts and Council work together and communicate during the growth but it would
be prudent you do, it would be great to see a Representative from Ada Roads at the meeting on the 27th and here how
they plan to address the housing growth.
Thank you for your service and please consider not just the subdivision in front of you but all of the housing growth
happening.
