Hi there,
I am a resident of Meridian and have been living on the crossroads of Ustick and Locust Grove for 13 years. I am fine
with a nightclub in Meridian. I am not fine with the location.
1. It is too close to to residential neighborhoods. This should be a no-brainer.
2. It will cause too much traffic (and potentially impaired traffic) on one of the busiest intersection in the state. I have to
wait for three lights at times to get through that intersection. Bad location for the concerts and other big events they are
trying to have there.
3. What will be the impact on our police force? Have they been consulted? Seriously that intersection cannot handle
anything more. It’s crazy. I drive it every day.
4. Nightclubs belong in a city center. This is not a city center. It’s a painful road with too many risky drivers already. Let’s
not add the risk of impaired drivers to the list. This is basic common sense.
