Broadway, Suite 104 Meridian ID 83642 Regarding: Growth in Meridian Hearing on April 27, 2021 on H-2020-0100 Dear Mayor Simison, RECEIVED APR 12 2021 CITY OF MERIDIAN MAYOR'S OFFICE I am writing to you to ask you to deny the proposed annexation of land at the Southwest corner of Locust Grove Road and Victory Road at the upcoming hearing. Just some of the reasons are set forth below. 1) The developer/owner does not live in Meridian, near this proposed development or care about the residents living in the adjacent neighborhoods. 2) The housing density is too high (Medium - High is Planning's definition allowing 8 to 15 units per acre) for the small triangular lot size of less than 8 acres. The 33 townhomes and 4 single-family units proposed are unappealing and certainly do not comport with the type and style of the statuesque single-family homes surrounding - excepting a ranch home and acreage north across Victory Road also pending replacement. 3) The long-term effects of medium-high density homes in this area would be a detriment to the existing residences triggering increased pollution, increased traffic congestion and will diminish over-all value. Why can't the City purchase this property? Investing in permanent preservation of farmlands to protect the agricultural economy of the County. Land should be enhanced, resources protected, resident and migratory wildlife be respected. This Meridian resident came here for the attractiveness of the open spaces in my neighboring areas. It is beautiful. Please maintain what exists today for our grandchildren. Respectfully, Susanne Link 4252 Rangewood Way Meridian ID 83642
