Subject: Granton Square Subdivision - Written Comment

REGARDING: Granton Square Subdivision at 2680 N. Locust Grove
Please accept this email as my written comment in advance of the Thursday, January 15, 2015, public hearing
on the proposed construction of Granton Square Subdivision.
My property is on the south boundary and backs up to the proposed subdivision. Briefly, here are my concerns:
Construction Activity and Associated Activities
* Will there be at least one or two days without noise and construction activit
y? Understandably,
brings with it activities that will increase the noise level in the surrounding area, but it would be preferable if construction
there was at least one day - Sunday perhaps - that would be without construction activities.
* Hours of construction will hopefully be limited to specific daylight hours and not beyond 7:00 pm daily.
Privacy Concerns
* Should the developer decide to place a privacy fence along the south boundary adjacent to my property, I
would be agreeable to the safe and considerate removal of my existing chain link fence with the replacement of
a higher quality privacy fence at the expense of the developers.
* The rear of my home has several floor to ceiling windows leaving it exposed to potential privacy issues.
Although this is not a concern of the developer, as a good neighbor I would be very appreciative if the new
home(s) were designed on a single -level floor plan behind my home.
At this time, I hope to attend the public hearing to learn more about the proposed subdivision and briefly
reiterate my concerns outlined here. y
Best regards,
John H. Redding
