At the March 18 hearing, the Planning and Zoning Commission moved to continue the hearing to May 6, 2021 for considering the following issues to be addressed by the applicant:  Working with Meridian Police Department to create a safety plan and protocol  Circulation Plan and Ride Share Promotion Plan to include a plan outlining dedicated space for ride share parking  Establishment of a shared parking agreement with neighboring businesses to show a minimum of 170 parking stalls  Visual of how parking and circulation plan would look Public testimony at the May 6, 2021 hearing will be limited to the items the commission has asked the applicant to resolve. Greetings, In reference to the above legislation, H-2021-0004, please allow me to encourage its passing. A venue for dance would be a positive asset for any community. I am involved in several social dance clubs in the area and having 1 such a space available can only encourage those who are not involved in criminal activity to participate. Encouraging the community to welcome groups with high standards, and the intent of bringing cultural gatherings to the Meridian area, can only result in drawing a greater number of those interested in making Meridian a better place to live.
