Members of the Meridian Planning and Zoning Commission, Mayor Simison and members of the Meridian City Council,
I am writing to you prior to the March 18th, 2021 commission meeting where application for The Oasis Nightclub near
the Eagle/Ustick intersection will be discussed.
I am in strong opposition of this proposed application due to safety concerns with this type of establishment at this
location, lack of their own adequate parking to support their potential capacity, and primarily the negative impact to the
immediate surrounding businesses and family-oriented neighborhoods. My family lives within a half of a mile of the
proposed Oasis nightclub and do not want it in our neighborhood.
My objections and concerns align with previous comments made by Meridian citizens Jennifer Shepherd, Jon Hastings,
Cherie Hoeger and Jonathan Hoeger regarding the proposed application for The Oasis nightclub.
I respectfully request that the commission, mayor, and city council deny the application and any subsequent requested
reviews.
