RE: Strong objection to the proposed Oasis Nightclub
Dear Honorable Mayor Simison and Members of the City Council:
I'm contacting you to express my strong objection to the Oasis Nightclub proposed to
be built at the southwest corner of Ustick and Eagle. I live within a quarter mile of the
proposed Oasis nightclub and do not want it in our neighborhood. My ten-year-old
daughter walks to her Math tutor across the street from the proposed Oasis nightclub.
The location is not good, across from shopping, grocery stores and so close to the
neighborhoods. Night clubs belong in a late-night industrial park away from
neighborhoods, families, parks, schools, and commercial shopping. I cannot
understand why the City of Meridian would want an establishment such as this so near
The Villages.
I agree with the comments made by Jon Hastings, Cherie Hoeger, Jonathan Hoeger,
and the many others objection to the proposed application for The Oasis nightclub at
the Eagle Road/Ustick intersection. We ask that you count our voice with theirs, and we
request the city deny the application and any subsequent requested reviews.
