Subject:Planning and zoning Oasis H-2021-004

Hello,
I am writing to voice my concern over the proposed Conditional Use Permit for the Nightclub Oasis. Although the
location of Ustick and Eagle is zoned general retail and service commercial, the placement of a Nightclub directly next to
residential property is not appropriate in this specific area. When Lime-lite Club was opened in south Meridian there
were almost Nightly calls to the Police regarding issues at that property. I think the Oasis will create a similar
environment in this highly family oriented area. Nightclubs in general create more crime in areas they are located and
are not welcomed in the area.
I am also concerned that there will be parking issues for such a big club. The Area retailers might be able to stop the
Oasis clientele from parking in their lots but the people on the adject side streets will probably not. The congestion and
noise from the increased traffic will make the area less accessible for the residents of the area. The hours of operation
are also a concern with the noise levels from the site and those attending it going until 2:00 AM.
It is not that I am against any Nightclubs, I just don't think they belong in such close proximity to homes with a large
population of children.
Please consider these things when deciding on this zoning proposal.
Thank you
Sincerely,
Jeffrey D'Andrea
