Dear Planning and Zoning Commission,
My name is Butch Amyx and I am a homeowner and resident in the Cameron Park Subdivision off
Eagle Road between Ustick and McMillan. I am OPPOSED to the Oasis Nightclub for the following
reasons:
1. This is a high traffic area and is already susceptible to auto accidents
2. It will bring an increase in violence as already proven in neighboring states with nightclubs in
neighborhoods
3. There are 3 elementary schools within a mile of this nightclub
4. There is residential housing located next to the nightclub that will experience noise, litter, and
property damage/vandalism
I believe everyone has rights, including the nightclub owner and developer, but the individual rights
must be balanced with what is best for the entire community. This is not in the best interest of the
individual homeowners and could easily be located in a more appropriate location.
