Please make this part of the public comments for this proposed development: I, Annette Alonso, represent the Southern Rim Coalition. We have been actively involved with the past 3 proposed developments for this land. In the last two renditions, with Devco, I have attended the neighborhood meetings and am in communication with the neighbors directly bordering the development in Vantage Pointe. At the neighborhood meeting for the proposal, which was previously withdrawn, Laren said they wanted to really listen to the Vantage Pointe neighbors and get them what they wanted. In the most recent zoom public meeting, I listened to what the homeowners had to say to the developer, and their message was consistent with what they have asked for all along, maximum 2 lots per property, preferably aligning with property lines, no walking paths directly behind their fences, no streets stubbed aligned that would shine in their homes, and no parks behind their fences. They just want 1/2 acre lots to border their 5 homes, this request is not unreasonable. I told Laren, in the last meeting that we were disappointed that Devco would not honor their request. The neighborhood didn’t oppose the development, they just wanted something that would work for them and that Devco had ignored them once again. Devco wants what they want and obviously doesn’t care what will make it livable for the existing homesites.
