Watertower, Suite 202 Meridian, ID 83642 Dear: Sonya I have reviewed the staff report you sent me regarding our request for final plat approval of Caymus Cove Subdivision and I am in concurrence with all of the conditions except one. Item number 8 states: “This project will be required to provide a 20-foot wide swing or rolling emergency access gate.” We would like to provide bollards on the emergency access lane to control vehicular traffic as a means of controlling unwanted vehicular traffic. We feel that the bollards will improve pedestrian access and visual aesthetics. Mike Anderson from our office has worked with Joe Silva from the Meridian Fire Department. During these conversations Joe indicated that the emergency bollards were an acceptable alternative to a rolling or swing gate. Bollards will be equipped with Knoxbox Padlocks as per Meridian Fire Department Standards. Please give me a call if you would like to discuss this further. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Jed L.
