To Our Hardworking Mayor and City Council Members,
Thank you for your time in reading this email. I write it in regards to my growing concern to the nightclub plans moving
forward at the corner of Ustick and Eagle. I have been a resident of Meridian for 11 years and have loved our city. I love
the stated Meridian City Mission for 2035 to ensure that Meridian is the premier city for FAMILIES.
I am deeply concerned that the desire for diversion, generated revenue, and placation of the louder voices in favor of
such an establishment will alter that stated goal for the vision of our families. A nightclub with inebriated clients
immediately adjacent to a neighborhood where women are invited to attend in “swimwear” is a blatant attempt to
injure the moral fabric of our community. I understand that the advertisement and semantics of the club have changed,
but it isn’t very difficult to dig down a little bit and understand what the motivation of this establishment are.
I ask as a father, and responsible community member, that this message and others like it be taken into consideration
this week prior to your Thursday evening meeting. Please take a step back and evaluate this plea to protect our families
and our community.
