It has come to my attention there is a proposal to add a 1000 person venue/nightclub at the corner of Eagle and
Ustic. Already with the massive influx of apartments in the area near Hobby Lobby, we've seen a drastic increase in
traffic and parking problems that are pushing into neighborhoods.
My concern with the nightclub isn't the "fundamental" issue of a nightclub. It's the fact that this is a 1000 person venue
house in a parking are that has 125 slots for this venue + other businesses!
It is obvious that the spill-over of parking will push into nearby neighborhoods.
Meridian, Idaho is one of the best places on earth. It is one of the safest. Adding drunk pedestrians into neighborhoods
at 2am closing time will NOT support the Meridian, Idaho, I've come to love.
This business can park elsewhere. Put it in the village... put it in a business park away from a neighborhood, and give it
appropriate parking. Don't make MY neighborhood the spill-over for drunk party-goers. Don't you dare. You have the
power to stop this silliness. 1000 people venue with parking for 125? It is OBVIOUS this is not well thought out. Time to
put a stop to it.
