To the Meridian. Planning and Zoning Commission: We wanted to add our voice to the opposition of the Oasis Nightclub to be located at the southwest corner of Eagle and Ustick. This intersection is already remarkably busy and dangerous. The added traffic, people and noise will only cause additional chaos. This nightclub will be built far too close to many residential neighborhoods, which will be impacted negatively by loud music, impaired people, impaired people driving, traffic issues, parking issues, littering, crime, and vandalism. We live in the Alpine Point Subdivision about a half mile away, but clearly feel we will be negatively impacted because we need travel through this intersection to get home. It is also possible that we may be impacted by the noise of concerts. Emergency vehicles such as police and fire responding to emergency cases could be severely obstructed. This is not the kind of business that we want near our neighborhood. This will damage our residential areas. These kinds of nightclub establishments need to be located in more isolated areas away from housing. We ask you to please deny a conditional use permit to the Oasis Nightclub in this location. Respectfully, David and Brenda Ashworth 4375 N Camas Creek Way Meridian, ID 83646 1
