I was recently made aware of the pending construction of a night club on the Southwest corner of Ustick and Eagle
Roads in Meridian. I have serious concerns with this proposal for a couple of reasons.
First, the traffic at that intersection is problematic now. There is so much traffic that it is getting increasingly more
difficult to make a left hand turn from our subdivision (Summmerfield Subdivision) onto Ustick Road and there are times
when you have to wait through three lights before you can make a left hand turn from Eagle turning west on Ustick. The
increased traffic from this night club would only add to the traffic.
Second, and most concerning to me is the fact that a night club is not an appropriate business for the that
location. There are many family owned homes throughout that area with small children and teenagers. That kind of
establishment DOES NOT belong in a location near schools and residential property.
I am strongly opposed to the construction of this nightclub.
