Yesterday I sent your office a letter regarding our concerns of this nightclub and the impact on our neighborhood. I
received a letter from the club owner that was filled with arrogance and bragadocious accolades regarding his police
experience. We come from a law enforcement family and know his training is what is standard procedures. It has no
bearing on running a nightclub. He is changing roles from getting drunks/druggies off the street to putting them on the
streets. He knows this club will also bring drugs and prostitution. It goes with the territory. Then he insults me saying I
made a hasty decision not wanting this right by my house and our neighborhood. His assumptions are that people are
stupid and we don't know we "need" this nightmare in our neighborhood. He says he already has venues scheduled. We
know you/the city are approving this project, just like you approved the gym, also wrong for the location. The city of
Meridian is all about approving anything and everything with no real regard to homeowners or anything else. You
shouldn't even bother to have community meetings since you don't care what we have to say. It's all about money.
Meridian is becoming another big city just like the rest of them...what a disappointment. We'll keep that in mind next
election day.
