I'm writing to you as a resident and concerned parent of the community. I live less than a quarter mile away from the proposed conditional use permit for a nightclub off of Eagle Rd and Ustick. The negative measurable impact that correlates with these types of businesses so close to residential areas and bus stops will have a negative effect upon the community in which I live. With decreased property value, increased traffic, parking issues, vandalism/crime, noise and littering that accompany nightclubs this would be a great mistake. I strongly urge the planning commission and the zoning commission reconsider this plan by not issuing a permit for this type of business. These businesses do have a right to exist, but not nestled up next to thousands of residential homes that are scattered down Ustick and the supporting streets where our children will be negatively affected by. This intersection is one of the busiest streets where heavy traffic commute is encountered daily. This would only add to the cross traffic nightmare of traveling across Eagle Rd and down Ustick. I have lived in Champion Park subdivision for over 13yrs and would be directly affected by this decision. I urge the city to promote family supporting and oriented businesses that would not only be viewed as an asset, but provide positive welcoming relations where residences and business are appropriately placed to support the very neighborhoods they will affect for a lifetime. Thank you for your time Dave Haymore 2719 E. Omera Court Meridian, Idaho 83646 208-608-4907 1
