It is not that I am totally against the night club in general, it is just woefully negligent on the part of city council to allow it to proceed as it is without complete study impact to allow the fine businesses and homeowners in the area to have complete transparency to what can and cannot impact the city. To be completely honest, it is a shame those in city council that affect our great city, that they would allow themselves to put blinders on as the building gets erected and the facility takes shape as the money pours in to the development of the Oasis. Are we to believe that you would stop such project in the middle of a build out and stop this project if you were not sure it would be a done deal in your eyes. Why hold a meeting with fellow citizens to show there is concern if by all accounts it is just a formality. Are we to believe you have the power to stop this project in the middle and allow it to just sit there for years until all issues are resolved. No, you appear to have your minds made up without impact studies, traffic headaches at one of the worst intersections in this state which haven’t been addressed enough, parking woes for god knows how many people might show up for these events, drunkenness outside of the worst intersections with no apparent way to stop good people from getting hurt, using woefully inadequate access to proposed Oasis which is most difficult to access homes and businesses in the area already, Very short sided to allow this establishment from gaining access to this area, but let’s put it up so we can say that Meridians first nightclub has been erected in the wrong place!
