Attention planning and zoning commission
We moved here 9 years ago to be with our grandchildren after we retired. We have a house in alpine point subdivision
and at the time it was called a development for gray hairs. Very peaceful community! Unlike where we raised out three
children . Since then they have been building large condominiums and apartments right next to us which I understand
people need a place to live but it seems so crowded to me I can’t believe it and the traffic and noise level has increased
so much at night . We used to be able to sit in our patio with our grandkids and read a book , now there’s so much noise
from Eagles traffic that it’s almost impossible to do! Then of course they built restaurants with bars in them two or three
of them close to our development and I know we need restaurants for people to go and visit and eat and help build our
city but along with that came crazy loud traffic at 10 o’clock to midnight which seems to me it’s probably people leaving
the bar , a lot of it is fast cars with loud exhaust systems and motorcycles with loud exhaust, probably at least 6 to 10
vehicles every night , so now when I’m laying in bed at 10 o’clock at night to midnight I look forward to that roar by our
development of these people leaving the bar Which I understand! But I feel like putting that night club so close to our
development and other developments and housing in that area to me is unbelievable! I’m so sorry to say but it’s almost
like it’s the last straw that maybe we should sell and move which doesn’t seem right to me because we put so much of
our retirement savings into this place we wanted to retire here and stay here but I think people can only take so much
noise , especially at night and I think it’s just a poor decision to let them build that Night club near neighborhoods with
children , doesn’t make sense to me! There’s plenty of property all around here where they could be out further away or
downtown where people usually go for a night out for that nightlife but out here I don’t feel like it’s right , anyway I just
wanted to voice my opinion instead of just holding it in I’ve been doing that for a few years now and I just wanted to let
you know how I feel anyway thanks for listening and hope you read this and reconsider thanks Ronn and Susan!
