Hello,
My name is Charles Boyd and I live at 493 E. Shafer View Drive, in the Shafer View Estates Subdivision. I’m in opposition
to the lot size of the 4 parcels accessed via Shafer View Drive. The average lot size in Shafer View Estates is 1.24 acres
and the smallest lot is 1 acre. To have lots smaller than 1 acre wouldn’t fit in with the rest of the sub and could decrease
our home values. Also what must be taken into consideration is the safety issue created by placing driveways so close to
Meridian Road. Cars leaving the highway at 55 mph onto Shafer View cannot see oncoming traffic on Shafer View due to
the immediate incline they face as they turn onto Shafer View. Someone backing out of their driveway as someone else
is turning onto Shafer View creates a safety hazard if that driveway is at the top of the hill. A solution to both issues
would be to reduce the proposed 4 parcels down to 2, ensuring that no driveway is built near the top of the hill.
