I would again like to express my strong opposition to the proposed Compass Point Subdivision. While the developer has made minor (and I stress minor) changes to the proposed development the project is conceptually terrible at the proposed location! I received a post card regarding this project and my property is geographically very close to the proposed project. The density of the project is far too concentrated for the access and egress of traffic. Even with the changes in the intersection of Locust Grove and Victory, the addition of this many residences will negatively impact the quality of life and is dangerous for the current neighborhoods in the existing areas! Further, it does not meet the criteria for the master plan of the City. Frankly, the parcel could be utilized for far better projects. For example, the City might consider purchasing the property for a City Park as the location would be perfect to serve the existing community or the property might be donated for that purpose.
