Dear City Officials,
I am writing on behalf of my wife and I Mackenzie Haggett. We live at 4220 E Goldstone Dr. and wanted to provide you
with some input about the new proposal in Movado (MDA H-2020-0123)
According to our understanding after the last project was turned down it was going to take many steps before anyone
would submit another proposal to the city. We also believe that this new current proposal is an increase in density from
the last one?
I am currently in great understanding of the huge demand we have for housing in Meridian and have a great
understanding of the real estate market but we don't support this current proposal. We believe that currently our roads
(Movado way & Overland) are very congested already and this would only increase the traffic at that intersection or
shall I say turn out.
At peak traffic times we are already seeing large wait times to turn left into the sub division. I have also noticed around 3
accidents at the cloverdale and overland light recently with the understanding that it could come from over stacking and
increased traffic. I am not sure how you solve this problem specifically but I would say a traffic light would help at the
turn out.
According to the last meetings and the last application that was submitted it ended up getting turned down due to the
fact that it was going to be a large burden on the roads and a traffic study was going to need to be conducted. Also what
was stated is Overland doesn't have enough cars for ADHD to install a stoplight at Movado way. I would recommend
that this be installed by the new development company trying to get this approved.

- Traffic Impact
- Higher density than the prior submitted proposal.
