I am writing to oppose the building of the Oasis nightclub on the corner of Ustick and Eagle Roads,
Meridian. I would not like a big event center/nightclub on that corner, because Eagle Rd. and Ustick
Rd. are already too busy. When I moved to Red Feather Subdivision 9 years ago, I was thrilled to be
able to walk to my bank, the grocery store, the Senior Center, the pharmacy, hardware store, the
hairdresser, etc. Even now, it is very difficult to walk across those 2 streets where they
intersect. With U turns, a pedestrian has to be extremely careful, as the cars turning are not. We
certainly don't need another driveway for vehicles close to that intersection. I think the Oasis should
be closer to Chinden or I-84.
