Dear Meridian City Officials,
I have lived in Boise since 1973 and at my current Meridian home since 2011. Yet even in the midst of
exponential growth, this community has maintained a friendly, family oriented culture. The proposed plan to
build Oasis nightclub at the SW corner of Eagle and Ustick Roads would greatly distract from maintaining the
culture that so many residents value. Nightclubs tend to foster increased alcohol and drug consumption and
abuse, along with sexual impropriety. I would much rather see that parcel of land be used for either a library,
health-care facility, church, or even a hotel. It is my understanding that the Oasis has yet to receive full
approval to begin construction. It is my sincere hope that this project is turned down for the greater good of
maintaining the safe, welcoming environment that has long been associated with our town.
