Griffith made motion to adopt the agenda, seconded by J. Peters All ayes APPROVAL OF MINUTES [ACTION ITEM] 1. Minutes from November 12, 2020 Regular Meeting J. Peters made motion to approve minutes, seconded by B. Griffith All ayes NEW BUSINESS [ACTION ITEMS] 2. Approval of Monthly Financial Statement T. Vannucci made motion to approve financial statement, seconded by B. Griffith All ayes 3. Approve Expense for Replacement of Traffic Box Sponsored by Ian Lawson A. Belnap informed the Commission that a traffic box sponsored by Ian Lawson in the fall of 2019 was removed by unforeseen circumstances. J. Peters was able to describe the history of the sponsorship by Ian Lawson and the location of the box. The Commission unanimously agreed to replace the box. N. Schofield made motion to approve the expense of replacing the traffic box, seconded by B. Griffith All ayes 3. Designate Funds Received Through the CARES Act A. Belnap informed the Commission that they have been awarded a grant from the Idaho Commission on the Arts for $1,080. A. Belnap suggested using the funds for the traffic box series 2021. The Commission expressed a desire to use the funds for performing arts instead, like a community choir. J. Cavaness-Williams pointed out that the Chamber of Commerce is doing a Christmas virtual community choir. A. Belnap will contact the Chamber of Commerce to see if a community choir is a feasible goal for the Commission, especially if the grant funds would cover the cost of mixing the final product. The Commission agreed that if a community choir is not possible, the grant funds would be put towards the traffic boxes. L. Taylor made motion to give A. Belnap authority to designate these funds according to the discussion and direction given by Stuart Wiser of the ICA, seconded by N. Schofield and J. Peters All ayes REPORTS [ACTION ITEM] 4. Update: Initial Point Gallery Subcommittee B. Griffith updated the Commission regarding the closure of City Hall and the cancellation of the ICA Artepreneur Show has been canceled. She also spoke to the Commission about the informational brochure that is being created to help inform artists about the Gallery. 6. Update: Events & Outreach Subcommittee A. Belnap reviewed some of the events and activities that the Subcommittee brainstormed to contribute to other City events through the Parks & Recreation program. The Subcommittee will receive feedback on these ideas with R. White at their next meeting. L. Mauldin informed the Commission that she is finding information about Dickens Singers costumes. 7. Reports: Public Art Subcommittee J. Peters summarized the Subcommittee’s many projects. The Subcommittee opted to create the Public Art Plan with the facilitation of Tom. The Subcommittee also discussed doing an event based off a Wisconsian event called the Farm/Art Dtour that is probably not possible in 2021, but perhaps 2022. The next public art project will be located at the Ten Mile Trailhead and an RFQ will be formulated to be released in February. 8. Report: Diversity Subcommittee L. Mauldin informed the Commission that the Diversity Subcommittee will be chaired by T. Vannucci and will be made up by the chairs of the other Subcommittees. The Subcommittee will schedule their first meeting during the upcoming month. NEXT MEETING - January 14, 2021 ADJOURNMENT J. Cavaness-Williams made motion to adjourn, seconded by L. Taylor All ayes
