Thank you sir. I will not be able to attend this public hearing. For what it’s worth, I think it is extremely
unwise for Meridian to proceed with adopting the ordinance. I do not believe there has been sufficient
evidence demonstrated that a problem even exists. I believe those in the community that have an
interest in the issue are overwhelmingly opposed. I have tried to relay these concerns in the past, but
the group appears decided to proceed. I fear this may have greater ramifications for local authority in
this area going forward. I know you must do what you feel is right and what you feel is best for your
community, and wish you the best in whatever direction the group decides to proceed.

The Meridian Transportation Commission meets today at 3:30 PM. You may be aware
that we are holding a public hearing on the proposed new ATV ordinance at that time.
In case you were not, it has ocurred to me that you may like to comment on the
proposal and wanted to make sure you were aware of the hearing.
