Section 1. That Title f,, Chapter 1 of the 0rdinances of
the City of Meridian be and the same is hereby amended by adding
a new section thereto to be designated Section 10-150, to read as
fo 1l-ows :
10-150: NEGLfGENT DRI\rING--PENAI,TI.--It shal1 be unlawful
for any person to operate a motor vehicle in a negligent manner
over and along the public streets of this city. For the purpose
of this section to roperate in a negligent mannerrr shall- be con-
strued to mean the operation of a vehicle upon the public streets
of this city 1n such a manner as to endanger or be 1ikely to
endanger any persons or property.
Any person violating the provisions of this section shalI
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and in additlon to the punishment
prescribed for such offense in these ordinances the convicted per-
sonrs driverts license may be suspended for a period not exceed-
ing 5 months i-n the discretion of the Po1lce Judge.
Passed by the City Council and approved by the Mayor of the
City of Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, this bfr d,ay
1958.
