The neeting was called. to order by the Mayor arrd- Coulcilmen Ngvarro, E11j-s and- Creason were present, constituting a quorurn of the council. The Mayor alnor-rnced. that the purpose of thi s meeting wasto consid.er the renewal of the note at The Idaho I'irst National Bank, Merid.lan, Id.aho, in accord.ance with a foan negotiated in January, t!51 by the City and the Merid-ian Fire Protection Dis-trict for construction of a new fire haII jointly owned, in Meri-dian, fdaho. It was announced. that the note at the ba::k was due and payable, that the City of Meridian would pay the same but that both parties would renegotiate the balance of the loan for an ad.d.itionaf period of one year, and the proceeds of said loan were to be paid over to the City as rei-mbursement to it for paying the l-oan at this time. It vras further anaounced thatthis was in accord.ance with the written agreement of the District and the City'dated +ffi , 1969.
