A special meeting of the ayor and Counctl of the Ci.ty of
Meridian, Ada County, Idaho, was held on lr[a reh 22, t96l at the
hour of 2:00 otclock P.M., at the Clty Ha1} 1n the Clty of
Meridlan, Idaho, being the regular meeting place of the lrlayor
and Council, at which meeting there were present and answering
the roll- call the following, constltutj_ng a quorum:
Present:
Mayor: Don M. Storey
Councilman: Willian S. Brown
W. Dean Mayes
Terry McGoldrlck
Absent: R. S. Anderson
constltutl-ng all the nembers thereof.
There were also pres ent:
Clty Clerk: Heratd J. Cox
Clty Attorney: Grant L. Ambrose
Thereupon the follorlng proceedlngs, among others, were duly
had and taken.
Thls is a special meetlng of the Mayor and Councif held at
the cal-l- of th6 Mayor, after personal written notice thereof was
given by the Clerk to ea ch councilman, and the object of the
meeting uas subnitted to the council in wrlting. The cal1,
written notice of the meeting and object thereof were, at the
dlrection of the !4ayor and wlth the unanimous approval of the
Council, ordered entered on the journal by the Clerk and are as
follows:

I, Don M. Storey, the }hyor of the City of Meridlan, Ada
County, Idaho do hereby call a special- meeting of the }tlayor andCity Councif of the Clty of Merldian, Ada County, Idaho, to be
held on the tr'renty-s e cond day of March, 1p61, at the hour of
2:00 orclock P.M., at the City Ha11 of the City of Meridian, Ada
County, Idaho for the purpose of considering the adoption of an
ordinance proposed by CounciLmen llllliam S. Brown
arrd 1,{. Dean MeyCs , whi ch ordinance provides for the
subnitt,ing to the qualified electors of the City of Meridian,
Ada County, Idaho, who are th6 taxpayers thereof, for thelr
determination, the question of lssulng the negotiable coupon
bonds of the Clty of Meridlan, Ada County, Idaho, in the sum of
$25,000.00 to provide funds wlth which to construct a municipal
swirming pool.
Councifman William S. Brorn and W. Dean MaYes
introduced the proposed ordinance and there was thereupon readin full the ord.inance attached hereto and made a part hereof
designated as Ordinance No. 111.
A notlon was made by Councilman WilLlam S. Brown and
seconded by Councilman W. De a nMa yes that all rules
requirlng ordinances of general and permanent nature to be ful1y
and distinctly read on three different days, be dispensed rith,
and that such ordinance be placed upon 1ts final passage.
Thereupon the Mayorondered the Clerk to call the rall upon such
notion and th€ rofl call- upon such notion ras as follows:

Those voting Nay: None
The Mayor thereupon declared that the motion, havlng been
duly pessed by not less than three-fourths of the councll, had
been duly carried and the Mayor thereupon approved the same.
Thereupon Counci lma n Willlam S. Brown moved that such
ordlnance be adopted and be glven the number -!!|, which motion
was seconded by Coun cllman W.Dea n Mayes
The M ayor then ordered the Clerk to call the ro11 on the
passage of the ordlnance, and the roll caLl on such passage of

such ordinance resulted as fol-l_ows:

The Mayor thereupon approved the ordlnance and decrared the
ordinance to have been duly passed and r.nstructed the cl-erk to
number the ordinance number 111
It was moved by Councifman William S. Brown and seconded
by Counctlnan W. Dean Ma yes that the Clerk of the City of
Merldian be ordered to publish such Ordinance No. 111 ip frl11
lmmediately and in at least one issue of the News-Tlmes, a news-
paper publlshed and of general circulation in the clty of Meridian
Ada County, Idaho.
The tlayor ordered the clerk to car-r- the ror-1 on such notion
and the r.o11 call upon such motion was as follows:

The Mayor thereupon approved the motion and decl"ared the
