of Meridian several years ago, we have just completed monumenEing 12 survey
control points in the I'leridian area and have forwarded a bill for same to
fhe Ci-ty. This brings our total of survey control points that have been
monumented with official brass caPS to !!r*
One ching that our field personnel have brought to my attent ion
e,is that the City of lleridian has done consid avement overl of
streets where we have installed these monumen ts. l{nenever S s don

begins and then immediagely after the paving has been completeri, and

fn this way the engineer or surveyor will obviously see the "survey pott'
at the street intersection, and by lifting the 1id the brass cap monument
will be exposed for use by all interested parties'
As a matter of fact, your public works <iepartment can get as
much value out of these monuments as anyone because the information will
be readily available for your use in locating future water lines' se!/er
lines, curb and gutter fines and other public works facilities. In
addition,utility companies such as the power, telephone and gas companies

Gregory Sub. #2 - three lightsuherry Manor Sub, - 7 lights
South end of West 3rd Street at RalJroad.
I would recommend the west street light on west Broadway Ave be
relocated two poles west to better distribute the lighting.
Several other locations may want to be considered as expansion
and eonditions reouire.
