0n May 4, L970 at the regular City Council meeting of
the City of Meridian, my firm, Boise Paving and Asphalt
Company submitted to you a bid for certain paving and street
repair work to be done in the City of Meridian. The bid was
in the sum of $ 20.206.00 This bid was accepted by the
City Council. Subsequent to the acceptance of this bid my
company discovered that r,re had made a substantial error in
arriving at our bid and the error was of such a nature that
to perform at that price would be financially unfeasable and
would work an extreme financial hardship on our company.
I therefore request that you release us from our bid
and we in turn, upon receiving this release, agree to make
no claim against the City in any manner for any work done
or to assert any legal claim for compensation or potential
comp&nsation arising out of this bid and the transaction
in general.
