WEETERMAN WHILLOCK trtrUNTY trF ADA EOU RI HOUSE BOISE, IDAHtr July 11 , L969 Mayor and Counci I City Ha 11 Meridian, I daho Gent Ienen ! Attached is a copy of the Minut€s, Resolution and Map showing the action taken by the Board of Ada County Coromissioners following the public hearing which was held in the Meridian City Hall on July 8, 1969 - I would li.ke to point out to you the final outcome on the naming of Cherry Lane and Fairview Avenue. The board was in couplete sympathy with Mr. Coxrs request that the Cherry Lane designation be carried east to Cloverdale Road; but reserved their final decision on this until the planning staff had tine to investigate a little further the inpact this rvould have on businesses, etc. Further investigation by the staff pointed out that a Cherry Lane already exists in the metropolitan area of Boise and was officially adopted by the Board in 1965. Feeling that two Chelry Lanes fairly close to each other nay cause sooe confusion in the future, the staff recom- Bended that both designations of Cherry Lane be tertoinated whele they are at this tine. Any future grooth on the alignnent of the Boise Chelry [.ane would be given a neu, name and the name Fairview should extend west to the Meridian East-West base line for their house nunberi ng grid, Meridian Road. In soDe ways this wiLI ease the task for both of in assigning future house numbers to Cherry Lane Fairview as no east or west designation wiLl be neces sa ry. us and We sincerely hope that this decision meets with your approva 1.
