Dear Mr. Cox:
Subject: Proposal for Mapping Services for the City of Meridian, Idaho
In regard to our recent discussion on mapping needs for the City of
Meridian, we submit the following proposal.
In order to provide for easier budgeting, the mapping service is
outlined to be extended over a four-year period,
It is suggested that the city be mapped for an area approximately
two and one-half miles square, which would cover the area from 0verland Road
on the south to a point one-half mile north of Cherry Lane and would run from
one-half mile west of Linder Road to one mile east of Meridian Street. Using
a 300 feet to the inch sca1e, this would be based on a map having overall
dimensions of 48 inches by 48 inches. From a nap this size, it would be quite
easy and inexpensive to get photo reductions in order to have maps 24 inches by
24 inches on a 600 feet to the inch scale.
We would propose a division of work for years as follows:
To be completed on or before December 1, 1966
A basic map on Mylar frorn which duplicate tracings
will be made for subsequent mapping needs.
An official city map of Meridian shornring lots, blocks,
subdivision names, landmark features such as parks
and schools, key dimensions, etc.
To be conpleted on or before December L, L967
A master house numbering map on a permanent type
duplicate tracing.
A master zoning and fire district map on a pentranent
type tracing.

The services outlined hereinabove for each year are to be performed
for the lump sun fee of $1000 per year to be due and payable in the year L,hen
the services are completed and after submittal of same to the city.
As the number of prints and reproductions of the various naps will
vary in accordance r^7ith the wishes of the city, a1-L reproduction costs are to
be borne by the ciEy, and as such, will be in addition to the services herein-
above outlined.
