City of Meridian –
I have reviewed the draft ordinance concerning the use of golf carts, ATV and UTV vehicles on Public
Rights-Of-Ways. I respectfully request the ordinance be modified to allow golf carts on Public Rights-
Of-Way within the Spurwing golf course subdivisions. As currently written, I would be prohibited from
driving my golf cart from my home in Spurwing Heights to the Spurwing Country Club, of which I am a
member. Also, residents of Spurwing Greens and the other subdivisions in the neighborhood would
not be allowed to drive their golf carts from their homes to the golf course as the ordinance is
currently written. I suggest amending Section 7-5-2 (D) of the ordinance to allow golf carts on Public
Rights-Of-Way within the Spurwing subdivisions located between Black Cat Road and Linder Road,
north of Chinden Avenue. Thank you for your consideration.
