Department Divisions The City of Meridian has requested feedback regarding a proposed annexation and
Building
Community Planning preliminary plat for the Ambles Run Subdivision, which will consist of 6 detached
Engineering&Surveying single-family homes on 2.88 acres located on the northern end of Chopin Avenue.
Permitting
Ada County Commissioners Ada County is supportive of the application due to the proximity of the site to
Diana Lachiondo,First District existing public services and due to its compatibility with the Future Land Use Map of
Patrick Malloy,Second District the Meridian Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by Ada County, which designates the
Kendra Kenyon, Third District site as Low Density Residential, a designation which is primarily intended for single-
family residential development at densities of three units per acre or less.
The layout of the subdivision also complies with the goals of the Meridian
Comprehensive Plan, as adopted by Ada County. The stub street and accompanying
sidewalk which will be provided to the property to the north is consistent with Goal
3.03.020, which encourages new development to connect local roadways to adjacent
properties, and Goal 3.07.02C which requires pedestrian connections in new
developments in order to link subdivisions together and promote neighborhood
connectivity.
