I live just 3 doors down from Scott to the east, and we too want to make sure our view is protected, that drainage isn't an issue and that the night sky is protected as much as possible. I am opposed to the rezoning of this area. I live above this land on South Del Rey Ln. This is a rural area with each home having over 5 acres. It's very peaceful here and we bought this house and land with this lifestyle in mind. Rezoning the land below us will create more noise and more traffic. Furthermore, it's not consistent with the land use to the south or west. To my knowledge this land has already been rezoned in the past to allow for the current zoning and the development of housing. 3 Please consider keeping some of Meridian rural or at the very least not increasing density.
